You think being Super Soldiers doesn't allow them to fly planes? Oh they can. It's just that they don't show that side of them much.XD

Sharpy, before being appointed commanding officer of the Wonderbolts (mainly a supervisor while Spitfire handles training), was a squadron leader: The 712th tactical fighter/bomber squadron, whose planes were all F-15S Active Eagles. Poor guy misses his old friends who fought with him in the past....and Soarin was one of them before he transferred to the Bolts. However, Princess Celestia issued a decree that the WBs are to be brought back to the Royal Air Force as its elite fighting force, and Sharpy was sent to them so that he can supervise their combat training program.

Note: NEVER mention the F-22 Raptor. It's overrated. Besides, I get bored of seeing RD or Spitfire flying these. Change is good, you know.
